  • EA had a few announcements today:
    • EA Sports Active More Workouts announced for Wii
    • Bad Company 2 release date in early March, Dante's Inferno release date in Februrary
    • Brutal Legend is getting a demo on September 17th

  • And the worst kept secret of the games industry, the PS3 Slim, has finally been revealed.  It includes a 120gb harddrive and the standard features of the current models out there (no backwards compatibility).  Launches in September for $299.

  • Good Old Games update: Crystals of Arborea, Ishar III were added to the Ishar compilation (you can get all 4 games for $5.99!) and Personal Nightmare is now available for $5.99.
  • The terrible indie FPS Merchants of Brooklyn was renamed Drug Wars, possibly to disassociate itself from the dozens of terrible reviews.
  • Piranha Bytes' upcoming game Risen will be released in October after some extensive bug testing, hopefully avoiding the same buggy fate Gothic 3 ended up in.

  • Apparently the next Zelda game won't be "radically different" from the previous ones.  Somehow I don't expect Nintendo to ever make any changes to their franchises.

  • Sega comments on the death of Micheal Jackson, though I feel like it'd be more appropriate if they didn't. Moonwalker really wasn't a shining moment for Jackson's history.
  • Followed by the lead designer from Mass Effect 2 claiming there will be no new game + in ME2, so the continuation into ME3 would be smoother.
